SsangYong Kyron - The premiere of the model took place in 2005. In Ukraine, a restyled version is offered, introduced in 2007. The avant-garde appearance gave way to the "classics" - a larger false radiator grille in front and traditional horizontal lights at the rear, which replaced unusual vertically arranged light elements.

The car is a frame SUV with a rigidly connected front axle and a reduction gear. Versions equipped with a stabilization system (ESP) are also able to imitate the blocking of cross-axle differentials. The "base" Kyron put only ABS and EBD.

Buyers can choose between petrol (2.3 liters - 150 HP and 214 Nm) and diesel (2 liters - 141 HP and 310 Nm) engine. The first is offered exclusively for the initial configuration with a manual gearbox and one airbag. The turbodiesel is available for all other versions, which come with two airbags and a much longer list of extras. In this case, in the case of a diesel engine, as a transmission, you can choose not only a five-speed mechanics, but also a six-speed automatic.

SsangYong Kyron has a spacious interior with a wide armrest for the driver and front passenger, a very roomy trunk (625 liters in normal condition). The ground clearance of the SUV is 199 mm.

The SKD assembly of the model was established at the KrASZ plant in Kremenchug.
