SsangYong Korando - an updated modification of the third generation of the crossover, presented in the fall of 2013. The modernization did not affect the power plants and suspension, which cannot be said about the noticeably changed appearance and the transformed interior. The designers have thoroughly redrawn the front of the car, flavoring it all with brighter optics with LED inserts. LED-elements appeared in the rear lights.

No less perturbation occurred with the interior decoration: the Koreans replaced the Spartan “torpedo” of the predecessor with a more designer decor with stylish “wenge-like” inserts on the front panel. In addition, the level of the materials themselves has risen. The “base” Korando has six speakers, as well as AUX and USB connectors, while the top versions have color multimedia based on the Android mobile operating system.

The car is offered in both front- and all-wheel drive versions. In the latter case, Korando receives systems that simulate wheel locks, as well as an electromagnetic clutch in the rear wheel drive. In the normal state, the latter connects the rear wheels automatically. However, at speeds up to 40 km / h, it can be forcibly blocked. Ground clearance SsangYong Korando is 180 mm.

The range of power plants consists of a two-liter naturally aspirated petrol (149 hp, 191 Nm) with a variable valve timing system and a two-liter supercharged diesel engine (175 hp, 360 Nm) with variable turbine geometry. Regardless of the motor and drive type, the buyer can choose either a six-speed “mechanics” or a six-band “automatic” as a gearbox.
